Free Elder Law Seminars

Principal solicitor Ian Mellett regularly speaks at mortage advisor & legal seminars for professionals, migrants, seniors and communities. He is available to speak at your event, retirement villages, local library halls and more.

Protecting Families: We discuss Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA), and Family Trusts compliance under the Trusts Act 2019 to help local families protect their assets.

Sponsoring Local Schools & Youth Sports

Quay Law believes in investing in our local community. We have, in our past, funded sports uniforms, equipment, and event sponsorships for local primary and secondary schools in the Remuera and Orakei basin catchments.

**Meadowbank, Vicky Ave & Remuera Schools**: We have in our past sponsored regional school galas, fundraising auctions, and educational resources, ensuring local children have access to premium sports and development opportunities.

**Remuera Intermediate & Local Sports**: We have in our past funded team uniforms and training gear for junior rugby, netball, and cricket clubs, fostering healthy physical development and regional club integration.

We review sponsorship proposals annually in November and June. Please submit a detailed proposal via our [contact page](/contact) outlining your school/club, the target amount requested, how the funds will be used (e.g. uniforms, equipment), and community exposure opportunities for Quay Law.

Yes. Our community presentations at library halls, retirement villages, and community centers are completely pro bono. There is no charge for attendees, and we provide free informational brochures on Wills, EPAs, and trust structures to support local legal literacy.

Yes. Subject to schedule availability, Ian Mellett is happy to speak at private community group meetings, retirement associations, and business networks. Please contact our community coordinator at least **4 weeks** in advance to schedule a date.
